Description

Dive into the heart of a natural environment supervised by a team of enthusiasts! Come and discover cani-randoing in an unspoilt setting, between high plateaux and forests.

Sled dogs are also available in the summer!
Escapades Nordiques invites you to discover dog sledding with our friendly dogs.

A sporting and family-friendly activity, it’s a chance to learn more about our Huskies and Alaskan Huskies and their way of life. As athletic and fascinating as they are adorable, our dogs are the driving force behind our activities.

Our “pack” consists of around sixty dogs divided into two groups: Ludo’s and Claire’s. Most of the dogs are Alaskan Huskies, Siberian Huskies and a few Greenland Eskimo Dogs. All our dogs are carefully selected and are working dogs. They come from professional musher friends or competitors, though some were born here on our premises. They are trained and socialised. They live next to our homes, in comfortable kennels with a play area where they can let off steam when not in the team. We train the dogs during the autumn so that they are in peak condition once winter arrives. All our dogs stay with us until the end of their days and enjoy a peaceful retirement within the pack they have lived with.

The dogs are the focus of all our attention; they are much more than just working dogs – they are our colleagues, our babies. We feed them a premium diet (a mix of kibble and meat). They are seen at least once a year by our referral vets at La Clinique Vétérinaire du Chiriac. The dogs are also looked after by our osteopath, Vanessa Strippoli.

Each one is a unique character; we invite you to come and meet them through our activities.
